This cute little notebook is really easy to make.
Start with leather and sticky notes.
I think that this leather came off of an old chair. You can also go to the goodwill and pick up jackets and skirts that are good to cut apart.
Using the notepad as a guide cut out the cover.
I just wrapped the leather around and made sure that it would fit then drew a line on the leather where the edge should be cut, then I cut strips of leather that were long enough to wrap almost twice around the whole thing.
Putting on a backing.
Using a sheet of cardstock paper, put the leather on it and trace the outline. Cut it out.
Glue.
Basic white glue will work because you aren't going to get this wet... hopefully.
Cut a hole in one end and thread the leather thong through.
I would put the hole at least 1/2 inch from the edge.
Tie a knot.
It doesn't have to be a double knot.
Peel the back off of the little sticky note pad and stick it in the holder.
some of them are stickier than others.
If it won't stick, glue it.
Again, I just used plain glue.
All done!
All you have to do is loop the thong around the book and tuck it under in back to keep it closed.
Here's a picture of the back.
Very simple.
Finished little note pad.
Then the best thing is that all you have to do to refill it is go get more sticky notes!
