Making a horn cup, like they used to use on sailing ships.
First you get a horn.
then you draw the design for the handle on it.
here is the handle design drawn on.
it has to be long enough to bend back around and down to the base of the cup.
cut off the tip.
Going to keep the discs for buttons.
Cutting with a dremel.
Get over the smell, it's ok if you have never been to the dentist.
Excess horn removed.
that will be the handle of the cup.
put it in boiling water to soften it up
easier said than done.
tie the handle
still tough to bend!
tied up and put back in.
hot.
had to re-tie it to wood to let it cool.
sort of looking like a cup.
